NEW character LCD project for CF1.3

Thanks to David's charracter surport option on the new version of CF.
I am going to show a step by step thread on building your VFD for CF2.0 beta.

the character display which I am going to use is a cheap 16x1 without backlight.

It is WM-C1601M

I think that with some small modifications (or even without) Dscaler could be embedded and forced to work properly in CF, solving the TV issue
for FM stuff I think radiator is fine, the author may give us some feedback for small modifications (but I doubt it)

there is a lot of carpc stuff which I don't understand the application it's only for fun

Will CF2 communicate with a standard hitachi display connected to the perallel port. I have done this before using a Futaba VFD (that emulates the standard Hitachi chip) and a WinAmp plugin. I don't think I want that in my car, but I might use CF on my HTPC which has that on the case.
