Internet

I went in to set up an internet connection and it asked for a phone number. Well as you know, when you have a cable connection, you don't exactly need (or have) a phone number to connect with. The internet connection goes to a router and then goes to the compy's. How can I connect without a phone number? This is so confusing .

if you don't use a dial up connection & your connection is always on, you don't have to set anything in there... it'll just be connected... this is for the ones who do have to dialup.... they can do it through the frontend & not have to go back to windows to do so, you don't need too...
