TV FM and CAM issue
Hello David,
it's the Frenchy again.
I've got a problem with TV FM and CAM....I'm using a Hauppauge Wintv USB FM. This item was working fine with other version (only using in FM mode). But with CF 1.7 the FM will not working even the Radiator works, and TV or CAM are not efficient.
When you run the radio, you can't switch to TV or CAM because the USB port still open on Radio function. It should be better if the function is shutdown when you quit or switch to another, like radio to media...
Actually i think you mute the FM line out only and keep the FM process open. That's why i can't go to TV or CAM.
Regarding the FM problem layout, i don't understand why it doesn't work (i can hear the fm noise but nothing sound changing) even i put the right channel with the tune button or arrow tuning?
Are my problem sounds familiar to you ?

David,
I found one solution about my FM problem...i need to switch TV and CAM off to have FM.
So it's sounds not possible to share TV CAM and radio from one USB unit or perhaps as i said if the program stop before switching.
Until a solution is found i will keep my radio on and other options off.
Cheers

The radio has been redesigned, so hopefully a solution can be found...
All source code for radio implementations will be released in the next SDK, which includes a Radio interface for creating Radio Modules...
If you didn't use Radio did the USB WinTV device work fine with the TV mode?
It's not meant to be set as the TV and the CAM...
I know it shows up, I might should put some code in place to check if already in use...

David,
Thanks for all this info....
FYI i've tried wihout success the BT8X8 driver, it's weird because this box is based with this chip.
I've tried to see the TV, only black screen. But it could be the channel setting. I don't know how to setup the channel. there's no scan function like radio.
Regarding the CAM, it works, but sometime the flow is slow (my PC is a IBM T23 laptop - PIII 1.1Ghz - 256Mo - USB1.1), did you bufferize the picture ???
Hope my suggest help.

I have exactly the same problem with my WinTV FM USB. Blank screen on TV and no sound in FM. Tried to select all 4 different options with chipsets on the list.

Hi Urosbe,
For the moment your need to make a choice:
FM or TV or CAM, but for each choice you need to put "none" on the others settings

1. Radio
I tried this and no luck.... radio doesn't work from beginning (I have pluged the cable from WinTV box to my Mic input and in it works perfect in software that was in a WinTV package), but in Centrafuse there is no sound. I have selected the last radio on the list (B..... chipset) and Mic for the input line). TV was set to None.
2. TV
There is a blank screen and it hangs. Even if I set radio to None.

Hi urosbe
Have you installed RADIATOR, you need it to run the FM module with Centrafuse and don't forget to put it in the FM setting of CF with path and other.
Cheers

No, I've just installed software that was included on CD with WinTV USB+FM. Where can I find latest version of RADIATOR?
And when I download it, I have to install it and then choose Radiator option in Centrafuse setup for FM settings?

Hi Urosbe,
First you need to download radiator from this http://flesko.cz/radiator.htm
After you need to choose the bt8x8 as external dll in radiator setup.
To be sure your settings are done, test the program before launching CF.
if it's done, launch CF, go to settings and in FM section choose radiator and don't forget to get the path of your Radiator installation.
After that CF should working fine only in FM mode....not TV for me.

Path for radiator has actually been moved in RC2 to a XML file in the Radio Modules directory...

Hi!
I followed instructions, I downloaded, installed Radiator, set external DLL and everything works fine. Then I was searching where to setup Radiator path in RC2 and after about half an hour I found it is in RadioModules\Radiator\Radiator.xml And I changed it and now, when I click on the radio, Radiator appears (external application) and works fine, but where is integrated Radio? Is this a "bug" in RC2?
TV doesn't work for me... blank screen. But if I close centrafuse and try included software (TV2000 I think) I am watching TV without a problem.
I am attaching error.log file (there are also some other error... navigation setup displays all COM ports as "COM0", so there is a list: COM0, COM0, COM0, COM0, COM0... and Phoco doesn't work either, but probably because of Widcomm drivers)
Regards!

I'm looking through your error.log file... It appears there was an error loading TV and Radio, which is why there was an issue...
I'm looking into it...

If it helps... I am using regular Windows XP SP2 on Via Epia SP 1.3, 512 MB RAM and Hauppauge WinTV USB+FM.
Thanks!
