Cobb Accessport & Centrafuse

I have read everything there is to read and then some.
Subaru Accessport cables are mentioned only in the OBD-2 section as solutions for data logging in conjunction with Tari Racing Software; and ECU Explorer and ECU Edit. This is something I have known and used successfully for 2 years.

I would like to know if I would be able to use my Accessport cable with the OBD-2 feature in Centrafuse. I have set up the Com port to the same port that works in the DL1 data logger by Tari (Com 4) and I have tried both ELM devices. Now apparently I am either missing something (as in a real OBD scanner) or something is up. Can someone please explain to me what I am NOT doing right ? In the end I get a message stating connecting but nothing ever happens. So if I am unable to use it...what would you recommend instead ?
Thank you.

(2005 Subaru Legacy GT; Accessport; serial-to-usb; Centrafuse 4.x)

f1anatic-

I looked into the Accessport devices, and while they do support the OBD-II, I can't find anything that says they use the ELM chip to do it. If this is the case, then no, we do not yet support that device. It's a similar device to the VAG-COM I believe, which has OBD-II but is implemented using a different processor. We currently only support the ELM chipsets. A good device we can recommend is the ElmScan 327, which supports all versions of OBD-II plus the new CANBUS protocol. It can be found here: www.scantool.net

Thank you very much for the info.

Sir, you have a private message. Or maybe an e-mail.
