The Visteon HD radio works great. We have a lot of HD stations here in the LA area, its pretty cool how they multi-cast, so they have 2 different songs on the same dial.
Mitch has a thread here for making that mod, it looks very simple.
@SciontC: There's currently 2 choices... A Direct unit or the popular Visteon HDZ300.

Does antbody knows how to embedd the software thet you can download from Mitch site.
I try this, but the software runs on top of CF instead of inside the screen.
I use the next name for the radio: HD Radio PCR, but also tried HDRadioPCR.
Both gave me the same results.

Let it run on top for now, in alitle bit, version 1.48 of CF will be released, with the HD radio software built into it. I think what your supposed to do is type the window name in the window box option of the setup.... but it seems when it comes to any type of media player, it never seems to embed, example: Sling Player

Not to get off-topic, but man I wish we could embed Sling Player, or even better, have a plugin for it in CF. I've been using it quite a bit lately. It's awesome.

Not to get off topic with you, but I so agree. I have posted in so many plug-in requests for a Sling Plug-in. It seems to be getting more popular and more are asking. Like I said in other posts, it should be based on the mobile phone version, which can easily be adjusted to have huge buttons and a simple remote. The player doesnt need all that fancy cr@p like the PC version has.

If I could code I'd do it in a second. Perhaps there just aren't enough people interested since the Sling hardware is admittedly a little pricey.

I only have 3 HD channels in my area right now, but boy do they sound awesome.
For anyone who hasn't bought a cable yet from Mitch, make sure to get one of the latest run from him... he's made a change to the original design which fixes an issue (which I have unfortunately) that give a bad static-thump when you start up the unit. I still have to talk to him to find out how to do the mod myself.
The turn on thump is very easy to do. Just some basic soldering. I did the mod myself and works great.
I also grounded the rca for the hd tuner as it was suggested to get better quality, but now i get a ground loop from the tuner. I will try to remove it and see if i notice any difference in sound.
Also, since my line-in and mic are shared for some reason when i first turn on the hd radio for the first time after reboot i have to unmute mic, mute mic, then unmute line-in for the radio to get sound. weird stuff.
There is a post on here somewhere that mitch submitted on how to do the thump mod. Best radio solution in my opinion.
ps. i am also using the honda (acutally acura, but same company) antenna and works great

Got a link to the thump mod?
Would it be possible to run the power to a relay from the M2 ATX AMP_ON header to kill the thump?

The thump has to do with the hardware mute control in the hd radio receiver and since mitch's cable controls the audio (software side) it will mute the device when entering hd radio skin.
Here is the link to mitchjs post regarding the mod and how to.

Yeah I'm planning on doing the cable mod this weekend. Looks like a 5 minute job at most. I had read that people were getting ground loops when doing the rca mod, so I didn't bother doing it. TeamRSX, undoing the rca mod should eliminate your ground loop issue from what I've read over in the HD cable thread.
