When I try to start the Garminlauncher.exe application. When I enable debug it says waiting for app to initialize and then about 2 seconds later this comes up.
I've checked the registry and the pathing is correct so not sure why this error is showing up. Any tips on how to diagnose would be helpful.
I get this same error. Everything works correctly but the error pops up everytime and I just click OK. Really annoying.
EDIT
FIXED!! Turns out that i have had the A: drive enabled since i built the computer but there is no actual drive. I disabled it under device manager and this did wonders for my system. Garmin Mobile PC runs MUCH faster, Centrafuse runs MUCH faster and no more error!!! But my next question remains..
Also, is there a way to make the Garmin window locked in place so I dont drag it around the screen?

Frankino, I tried your setup with the ZWKB. Only problem i see is that it is always running in the background so if I ever touch the top part of the screen it opens the keyboard. Like when I hit Library or Playlists.

Hey guys, dont remove the \\ out of the path settings. i.e. it has to be C:\\GarminMobilePC\\Que.exe and not C:\GarminMobilePC\Que.exe
If you do remove a backslash leaving only one, you will get that error posted earlier.

I know, I plan to modify my "launck zwkb" tool to perform the task only if GMPC windows is in foreground. will take a look asap
I admit I'm not too active on GMPC tweaking right now, I switched to sygic and I LOVE it..
EDIT
just spent half an hour trying to get it work, it seems autoit can't find GMPC window correctly, I think I'm doing something wrong because it can resize and refocus it fine so.. I'll keep trying

Same thing was happening to me. Here is how you fix it - DO NOT enter the application window name (Garmin Mobile PC) when you add it to CF. Just add the path to the garminlauncher.exe. When you add an external app to CF and include the window name, CF absorbs the app so that it is not visible as a running EXE, so the utility can't find it.
Let us know if that fixes it! It did for me.

Nope didn't help. When I get that error message and click OK nothing happens.
I'm sure the issue is related to the fact that AutoIT script is looking for a application window name of Garmin Mobile PC, but with version 5.50 it seems there isn't a window title. If you use the tool for showing the window title then fire up GMPC it just shows a blank box with an OK button............
I wish I had the stuff to sort it out as it drives me bloody nuts not having this sorted properly it's been going on and on and on and it's still not solved
Why can't Garmin just bloody give us an SDK so someone can make a proper plugin.........

I assure you the window name is "Garmin Mobile PC", it shows itself for several seconds during the application startup then it hides, I can see it if I maximize the application right after it starts
triple check the values in the .reg files (paths, window name, etc) and make sure to include the two .reg files in the registry doubleclicking on them

F1 - PM me your .reg files and I'll check if its set up right.
the Window name is definately "Garmin Mobile PC" its just the "Show Title App" comes up with nothing. I use an App called "Hide Window Hotkey" to find out window names and it definately finds the GMPC name as "Garmin Mobile PC" when Show Title App finds nothing.

OK will do.
I've tried all sorts of different combinations of reg files and get the same result with them all. tried the default one and just changed the path statement and it's still no go......... My GTR works with the same setup, but that was 5.3, then I upgraded to 5.5 and it still worked, the others were 5.5 before I tried to install this...... not sure if it's related in some way.
Task Manager says it's Garmin Mobile PC so I figured it was named correctly, but wasn't sure how the AutoIT script did it's thing.
Assault, will PM you my reg keys.

Wow, I am suprised since I was having the exact same problems, spent LOTS of time on it, and finally removing the the app title from Centrafuse when I added it as an external solved the problem.
Also, I figured it out because, when I ran Garmin Mobile PC outside of CF, I could see it running in the task manager. When I ran it embedded in CF with the app title specified, I could not, so neither could the AutoIT script. Once I removed the app title in CF, I could see it in the task manager, and everything work as it should. When running GMPC launched from CF, see if you can see it in the task manager. If you can't, it must be that CF is absorbing it.

It won't even launch properly outside of Centrafuse......... so it's definately not related to that at this point.
It's so frustrating.......
I've PM'ed my reg file to Assault, so hopefully he'll spot some rookie mistake and it will resolve it, but I don't think I've made any mistakes
