I thought of a great idea for a plug-in last night... I would like to be able to specify what time I need to reach my destination and have a plug in use GPS data to display the average MPH I must maintain to be on-time.

Another Plug-In request... store dates & mileage of oil changes and other services, then pop-up a reminder later. (would require OBD or GPS to automatically know the mileage)

David: We need a way for plug-ins to exchange GPS & OBD data without each plugin needing its own virtual serial port. Really there should be a GPS "driver" plugin that handles keeping the GPS happy (even after hibernate/resume), makes one or more virtual ports for a GPS Navigation apps, and allows other plug-ins to get GPS data through inter-plugin communication.

I am working to get a version compiled with the road names shown in 3D mode... This is just a feature that they cut off due to requests by multiple hand held clients not wanting it... There actually use to be road names in their OEM D4, but they were removed again in D5... They have been added back in D6...
