I'll make a Nexus skin for this plugin. I like it! I will wait till you have a stable release...

Edit: I meant I will wait till you have the overall structure firmed up, as to not rework.

It isn't just a labeling problem... I entered a note while it still said "Day 9", then picked day 10, enetered a note, then went back to Day 9. BOTH notes from Day 9 were still there. (and the note from Day 10 stayed with Day 10)

Would you just like that when there is new day it also show notes for new day?

Yeah, I think that would make more sense, ya' know? If it's the 10th, then I don't need to see notes from the 9th. If I did wonder what it was I entered on the 9th, then I can click on the "9", and see them.

Thanks!

Here is the link to second Alpha relese.
I don't take responiblity for any damage that this could make, although it shouldn't do any

I think that three midiwall's suggestions should be done now.
Now I will try to make ability for removing notes. I was thinking of check and automatically remove all notes that are older than a month on startup. What do you guys think?

Setup section still need some work.

It's not a bad idea... Though I could see someone wanting to look back through their notes for a phone number or some-such. Instead of making this automatic, what about a button that the user would click to "purge old"?

I haven't looked, are you just storing them as text in the XML file?

Oh, I haven't checked. Sorry, it should work now.
Yeah, "purge old" button sounds like it is good idea.

About saving you are right. It is saved in notes.xml.

I just loaded up alpha 2... It looks GREAT! I'll play with the old/new notes thing over the next couple of days, but it looks just fine!

Thank you!

Stric:

I have completed my Nexus skin for your Calendar plugin. I have a suggestion:

1) Can you enable the 'image down' region for the Month and Year zones? I dont think a lot of people noticed this, but you need to click on the Month label and then the arrows, in order to make changes. Same for year. If you could enable the image down for these regions then it will be more obvious as people click and see it hilite. You might want to leave the selected one (Month or Year) hilited once it is clicked?

2) Same thing for the Notes region. Can you enable the hilite for the whole thing when people click? (but dont leave it hilited, of course)

3) I see no way of going to 'Today' quickly. If I mess around with the dates, I cant go to TODAY quickly... (current month/year)

4) Can you somehow change the color of text of current day, or something like that? So it is obvious when TODAY is...
EDIT: This is already implemented, sorry

Hi justintime,
this looks really cool . About the first two things I will try to change it in next relese. I am also planing to put "today"'s color in skin.xml file so you will be able to change this.
What do you think of putting a button on the place where the last four square's are. (they never can be used for showing day).

I think the button for TODAY should go elsewhere. But that is a matter of the skin... You do plan on adding a TODAY button, right?

Another suggestion, change the month names to short names in the XML language file. I did it on mine, but I just think it would be better if you release it that way. JAN, FEB, MAR, APR, etc.... fits better and never truncates.
