Release: StopWatch for CF RC1 (1.7)

I fixed up stopwatch and wrapped it back up with the new API for version 1.7 (RC1)

It should be pretty stable, but I am not responsible for any damage it may cause, blah, blah, blah.

The settings should not need to be changed, I believe that they will change with the settings of the main program if you have the correct langauge and skin files for the plugin as well.

I made a onyx day and night skin, but skinning is my least favorite part of building apps, so if anyone else wants to make a skin either standard or custom skin, just let me know, and I will include the skin in the zip file.

Just unzip the StopWatch folder into the plugins directory in your centrafuse folder.

here is the download

here are some screenshots:

by the way my sloppy psd's are in there, it might make it easier to reskin it if you wat to create a simular skin or one in a differnt color (like onyx blue) in which case the xml's could stay the same (minus font color changes)

thanks, I forgot to include the icon.png file in both the day and the night skin so it was showing the standerd 'dos window icon' in the one i forgot, I updated the zip file but if you have already downloaded, you dont need to redownload, just copy the icon.png to the other skin folder.

Also i have noticed an odd skin rendering issue on one of the 3 machines I have run it on, it works fine on the other two, the timer1 and timer 2 labels are not positioned correctly on the skin (only timer 2 is visible and it is up near the top of the skin), there is no ill effect to the program, but oddly enough the skin xml is correct for coordinates and exactly the same as it is on the other two computers that it works correctly on (all extracted from the same zip). I believe it is a issue with the way centrafuse is rendering the lable controls, as they are the only ones on the screen.

All machines run xp sp2, cf 1.7.

If anyone else has this odd behavior let me know if you can, I want to see if there are any common demoninators.

David, any ideas on what could cause the odd behavior?

Alti,

The skin selection Setup screen pops up a keyboard dialog, instead of the typical Skin list dialog... Same thing for the Language setup screen...

@midwall - That is CF version 1.5. the skin is very differnt now and matches onyx WS skins other then that it is the same, I will replace my origional sceenshots in a bit.

@ jit - Sorry about that, its a layover from the pre-sdk 1.2 days when the plugins had to manualy change, I forgot to remove it. You should not need to change either, the skin and language should change with CF's skin and lang, of course the skin you would want to change to would have to also exist for stopwatch, same with the lang file.

I will post an updated version probibly with a blank setup (if I remember correctly strange things happen I you dont have that method).
