here is a VERY alpha version that I am making availible mostly because i dont have much time right now to finish it.
there is no setup (does not matter for skin and language changes) I did however add the path and filename it will load into the config.xml file the only thing that you can not change is the drive letter. You can edit the config xml directly.
This really only works with version 3. version 2.0 and i assume 2.1.x will work but the menu might not come up making it impossible to choose a destination ect.
I would love to hear of your experiences (screen shots are helpful) with differnt versions as well as suggestions...
thanks,

how can you move individual controls out of the window, Alti? You mean you just stretched the overall iG3 window, or...?

yes i kept the menu and sized it off the top, I tried removing it first but ran into problems with crashes when sending commands as you describe.

I dont understand how you could have strectehd it horizontally like you describe, while keeping the bottom menu untouched. The bottom menu with ETA etc does not appear to be clipped!

it is, notice that ther is no label visiable in the left most field on the bottom
you can see it if you use UMPC or an older version better since i have not yet made the amount it clips configurable to adjust for differnt versions.
I will also make it a feature that you can turn on and off

OK, I see it now.
So, if someone scrolls/pans the map, will they see the RED 'X' on the far lower right, to exit the panning mode??!?!
