Okay... I have it running on my desktop. Sorry to say though, I didn't do anything special, it came right up. I:
  • Installed MapPoint 2006, taking all defaults except for path
  • Installed CF RC4.2, taking defaults except for path
  • Installed CFMP 0.83 taking defaults except for path
  • Added CFMP as a plugin in CF
  • Added CFMP as a button
  • Clicked on CFMP and... it came up
You're using CF 4.2 and CFMP 0.83, right?

Have you installed .NET v2 _and_ .NET v1.1? I THINK CFMP wants v2, but I know CF only wants v1.1. (v2 is _not_ a superset of v1.1. You need to install both of them)

'k... There's also a vague issue around the order that you install the .NET releases. I think you have to install v1.1 after v2. There's a thread around here about that, but I can't find it right now. Sorry.

I have both .nets installed. 2.0 first.

Yet no luck. I'm hoping its my computer, and when I get my m10k and laptop drive I will have no problem with it.

As you can see Mappoint and CF are running fine but CF plugin cant find Mappoint

This plugin is all but dead. The good news is that David (Mr. CF) did up his own plugin for MapPoint, and that's available for download from the Flux site:

http://www.fluxmedia.net/downloads.aspx

It needs work, but David's made the source available and I think he has some nibbles on developers picking it up and running with it.
