nobb will become famous soon enough
Ok in regards to the problem of iGuidance 4 not embedding properly...I think there is something wrong with my .exe file. I've tried renaming another .exe program to iguidanceumpc.exe, stuck that in the main iguidance directory, and when I launch the program, it is embedded properly into Centrafuse.

So could I request someone who has gotten their iG4 working with CF to go into c:/program files/inav/iguidance and send me their iguidanceumpc.exe file for me to test out? Maybe upload it on yousendit.com. Thanks in advance.

No. And I haven't seen the author around in quite some time. David says the plugs will have to be recompiled for 2.0 Unless someone has the source for this one, or tracks down the guy who wrote it, we may be SOL for awhile.

That's...upsetting

Thanks for the confirmation.

Navigation is one of my more commonly used apps. I might have to downgrade now, so I can use IG4 =/

Has anyone been able to track the author down? I am currently using RoadRunner but am planning to switch to CF RC2, however that will change if I can't use iGuidance. Does anyone have the 2.0 compiled version? Better yet, does anyone have the source code so I could compile it myself and also update it for iG v4?

While I am still using the old 1.20 myself, the issue at stake here - as i understand it - is NOT that the plugin does not work with IG4 or with CF2 but rather the DEST button does not work. Something which I can confirm. However the TOP MENU button as well as the left lower panel MENU button from IG4 itself provide the shortcut to the destination. It really is about convenience.

If you had to use IG4 by itself, one would have to go that route tio input a destination. Not the end of the world but I agree someone should make it work.

I understand that. I can run iG4 in CF1.2 just fine but like you said, the dest button won't work. The problem is that CF RC2 is written in the .NET 2.0 runtime and there have been many changes to the plugin dll. Therefore, as I understand it, cfig needs to be recompiled in 2.0 with the new dll in order for it to work. Does anyone know if this is not correct? Can you still use iG4 in CF RC2 with cfig?

But you were able to installed cfig on RC2? When I even tried it, it said that no installation of CF could be found. How were you able to do that?

new 2008 Dodge Sprinter help Starscan scantool

I know a lot about cars. I am learning about my new 2008 Dodge Sprinter with a Gas engine.
I need to interface audio and video and HD cameras into this van.
My main concern is, I also need to remove the speed limiter/governor. I am limited to 80mph.

I have looked at the Very expensive Starscan tools. http://millerspecialtools.spx.com/Featured.aspx?id=1408

I think it uses CAN or CAN2 protocols Which, I am not sure.

Does anyone have an affordable scanning tool or sofrwareI can buy to defeat the speed limiter/governor ?
This vehicle has a dedicated desktop Vista computer installed.
Also,
I need interfaces, To install a aftermarket HD/XM radio and GPS system, what interfaces do I need ?

For anyone still monitoring this thread, I built my own version of an iGuidance plugin that is made specifically for CF 2.0.

Check it out:
