CF Boot Tool

Hi all,

I have started to use CF on a new PC. I remember with my old PC, I found a mod in one of these threads to boot the PC straight into CF (it seriously reduced my start up time, took about 8-10 seconds). All I remember is that it was a zip file, specifically for CF, and it just required you to replace a few files on the C:\ drive. I have tried searching the forums but I can't find the same thread (have also tried FluxMedia). Can someone post a link?

Not quite. The original tool I had removed the Windows Boot Screen, Logon, Desktop...everything. Like, power on, BIOS would load, and then it would say 'Loading CF'. As I said before, the whole process was loaded and ready to go in under 10 seconds.

Found it David! Back to the good ol' 8 sec boot

I did make a mistake, this is used when resuming from hibernation, not a cold boot. However, I have put a link to this brilliant app on my site (I did not make it, all credit to bishooman).

You can download it from: http://sugar05.no-ip.com/CarPC/CFBootUtil.rar

Paste the app in your C:\ directory and run it (make a backup). Enjoy!

Note: Only tested with XP SP2.

Did you test this with the latest version of Centrafuse?

Thanks for finding this again...

I can't either... I would like to know what all it changes and if it has an undo command...

Also sense Centrafuse already has a set as shell mode option within the application now, I think this just fixes the image for the return from hibernation screen and bootup screens...

If so I would love that code to make that an option during the Centrafuse install...

right I've tried it...

Its written by Bishooman who is a member.

All it does thought is change the text on the hibernation screen! no biggy really

Theres no reasons this would make a system boot faster, you'd need Minlogon & or an Nlited/TinyXP'd system for any increase in boot speed.

It alters nothing other than the text on the black Resuming from Hibernation screen!!! NOTHING MORE.

Its the fact that you are returning from a hybernation that may make it seem faster than normal.

hello every body
this is a hybernation Patch it will only change the text of resuming windows screen after hybernation it will support windows xp sp2 english only i am working on a new version that will support more versions and you can put a custom text
Daivid this tool has nothing to do with CF it self so it will work with any version of CF if you want your installer to do this tell me

Regards
