I like it! But I would let eBomb complete it instead. Much easier with the original PSDs.... good work though!

Day Skin

Alright, i'll probably just wait for your version then, after all it is alot of work! Plus you have the PSDs, so its alot easier for you!
I've actually been debating the value of a "day" version for this skin. It seems like the real issue with visibility in harsh daytime driving scenarios is contrast, along with black being the most reflective color. Right?
Well in our skin, I made most of the buttons white-based with black text, so a white background behind them wouldn't actually help with visibility, it would only furthur blur the distinction between the button and the background. The only areas that would seem to benefit from the change would be the list views. If I gave you a home screen and a screen for the media manager and media player, could you test it for me and give me feedback?

Yeah sure, I can test it out and let you know what I think.

The playlist definetly needs a white background with black text. The large amount of black makes the white text hard to read during the day.

Hey ebomb, any news on when your day skin will be ready? This dark version is great at night! ... but in the day i can barley see anything w/o leaning real close... which might be a driving hazard =P

I have a few things to take care of, first. Unfortunately, it's not #1 on the priority list. We need to make the initial skin with all of the final UI tweaks and changes first, once that's locked I can add the Day skin and a version for a 4x3 aspect ratio.

I wanted to know if anyone has noticed that on Xenarc screens (I assume same thing for Lilli or any other LCD), if you look at a black region of the screen AT AN ANGLE it will actually change the coloring/illumination. very hard to explain the effect I see, but it is pretty darn obvious. Especially at night. For white regions, looking at an angle has hardly any negative effect.
In general, dark colors at an angle look weird, while light colors look OK.
I bring this up because the CF 1.6 black skin would be ideal for night use (because it is not too bright) but at the same time give me problems from my driver's point of view. (it's at an angle).
What a dillemma.

solo... if you have a good start on it, I would like to see you complete it. It may take Flux a long time to release.

Hey, yeah i have the same screen.. or same company... if you increase the brightness level on the screen it will get rid of that... problem with that is, everyhting will get washed out.... so then you need to go into your graphic properties... and mess with the gama/brightness/contrast to your liking.... but the key part is increasing the LCD's brightness control
