Nexus skin NIGHT (testing the waters)

I really like the Nexus skin in blue for day use, but my car's dash is amber/orange and it kind of clashes at night.

So I am thinking of making a night skin specifically in amber tones.... testing the waters here, wanted some feedback, and also wanted to know if there was interest in using this?

I would definately be into it. And its definately got to be amber/orage because that looks best in my pontiac! I made one myself, but its a pain to remake it with every new version release. I'd rather you did it!

Although, the "glow" effect in photoshop looks pretty kewl at night IMO.

I need to work on the colors for sure, just quickly put those together... will be color matching to my dash and reporting back...

Omg orange/amber is perfect for my 350z where the orig radio is that exact color...that would fit perfectly into my car and make it look oem. I like it!

OK, I went ahead and made a color match to my amber dash, and updated the image on first post. If it doesn't look right to you, I guess you have to see it in the right context (at night, in your car, with everything dark except dash).

Looks great in my car, and I think most amber/orange dashes are similar in hue/color.

Now if I could only find time to generate all the new images from the Nexus skin. Gosh!

I think the main buttons should be a little more orange. Right now it looks like a peach color compared to the background

I agree. But for some reason that combination worked well in my car, while pure orange did not quite work... hard to explain, 'you had to be there'

I decided this skin needed to be much more orange and less peach after all... final color scheme is up there in forst post, will try to find time to complete....

Hard to tell by just looking at it on your monitor, but it does look real good at night in the car with all the rest of the dash in orange/amber.
