Skinning Capabilites?

Ok im making an effort to learn centrafuse as i think it has potential. So far though the skinning capabilities are dismal unless im missing something.

For instance. One task im trying to accomplish.

I don't want Artist - Title in one field at the top. I want just title then artist below it. I cant for the life of me work out how to add a new field? I see in the SDK there is a variable for artisit and title separate? So how would i accomplish this?

Thanks

That is not currently possible, but I plan to add the functionality...

As for skinning look for a skinning program very soon...

It will hopefully be posted on the forums and our website within a couple of weeks...

Thats good news. I much prefer Centrafuse over Streetdeck but I was conisdereing the switch just cause i cant get the interface quite the way I like it..

With a skinning program close, I'll definately sit tight..

Hopefully...

My Skin editor is in the early stages, so you can see what it will be like. It will have minimal skinning abilities but at least get it out there.

I just wanted to comment I plan on supporting whatever code changes Veetid makes to CF in my editor as soon as I can while adding features.

So far I have not touched one line of code from when I started coding the skin V1.7 - > RC 5 . The reason I have not had to modify code is because I designed it in a way that it doesn't rely on the XML file to be a specific way. It interprits the XML code rather than looking at the whole thing in a rigid structure.

In a way you could say I gave the editor a limited intelligence for XML, now you know what feature I've been working on for the last year

With that foundation solidly implemented I should be able to add features rather quickly.

I plan on posting the same version that veetid has in the forums this week and come out with the next release as soon as possible with the goal of reading 80% or more of the XML code for skinning.

So sit tight and we'll make skinning for CF even easier than using notepad for XML editing! (still my editor of choice for the skin.xml....even though I do turn to a editor like XML spy for when my hands start cramping up )

Cheers!
