Hey kids!!! Look who's back and busy!
OK! I know I've been gone for a few months, I've taken up real estate, so I've been doing school and training and actual WORK. However, this is good for everyone since I'm opening up the LCD biz again.
Let's play hardball. I'll have everything very soon. 5.6" headrests, 7" and 8" flip down screens, big 10.4" thin roof/flip screens, and here's the kicker... I need to know what most of you would want in size for a VGA input lcd module.
Don't pay for other crap, don't pay for housings you don't want. I'm talking pure VGA, LCD + PCB kits, nice SHARP LCD panels and sizes from 7" to 17". I personally think 7" is too small, and when we are talking JUST the lcd, most anyone can hide a 10" screen somewhere useful. 17" would be pretty cool, without having to buy a computer FP and tear it to shreds. I want INPUT here people, everyone was great in the past and I'll still be giving sweet discounts for mp3car people on my website (back up and running soon once I sort out the frontpage/access/all that stuff.)
Please post, or email me.
Send emails to dscustoms@hotmail.com, until I get the site back up.
Thanks everyone.

I personally want anything from 7" to 8.4", any bigger and I'm gunna struggle putting it anywhere without doing a complete dash rebuild!
Will these kits be fully operational from 12V and VGA input, no other "bite's in the arse"?
How much we looken at for a screen of that size, a ballpark figure atleast would be nice.

7" for me too. I want one in a housing though. Can you beat a Xenarcs price of about $400.

Wish List for me:
7" in dash single DIN VGA touch for auto voltage
(should not need a voltage regulator)
and
10 or so inch VGA touch for auto voltage
(should not need a voltage regulator)
The DIN goes in my toyota the 10 inch is for a custom console in a Suburban ;-)

I won't be doing anything with a touchscreen, just the LCDs. Nobody wanted the 7" in-dash screens last time, or I would have ordered some. As for housings without screens.... Find some other way to do what you're trying to do. Nobody will sell empty housings, and nobody will fork out 150K to make them ourselves. The only in dash screen I want to carry will have a built in DVD player and have more of a car audio purpose than in-carputing. 7" VGA xenarc screens cost 400$? Damn, I'll see what I can do, that's a ridiculous price.
Keep the posts coming, I want a good idea of your demands before I bring in a boatload of product.
Thanks,
Dave

Whats with casings? Make 'em yourself guys, thats a spare part only the manufacturer would have. BUT I FORGOT... I have a few of my old 5.6" in dash non-motorized screens left.
One is in perfect condition, brand new in the box, $200.
One is used, only a few minutes for my pictures, tiny scratch on the screen that you can't see. $150.
Then there is one with a red line on one side of the screen. $100.
I also have a screen that doesn't work at all, just shows grey. $50
I NEED TO SELL THESE, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. I'm tired of looking at them. thenominous, buy the 50$ one, nice efficient housing, bad guts. Hell, maybe you can fix the screen too.
Dave.
