Could I still adjust the volume from the computer if I were to use this to send the audio to my headunit, which I could just put behind the dash or somewhere not noticable so that I could just use the amp that is in it.. and just leave the hu on the same channel all the time..? just a thought..

Yes, the volume set on your computer will affect the output volume of the transmitter unit. According to the instructions you would want to set it at a point to where you don’t have any distortion. Then, you would just adjust the volume on your car’s stereo system as you need it.

That's what I thought. I was hoping that I would be able to use my computr to adjust the volume.. however, I could just use the remote control for my headunit.. and maybe remove the sensor from the headunit and move it someplace on the dash hidden from sight, but where the remote could hit it.

The only reason I would do this is so that I would't have to buy an amp and I'd have to rewire speakers cuz the amp would be in the trunk. I'll probably end up doing it someday, so maybe I should go ahead and wire it now. I dunno.. What's the quality like on that? Same as if I ran it from the computer to an amp via RCA?

Although this is one of the best FM transmitters out there. If you have aux inputs on your head unit or amp then you should use RCA wires, because the quality would always be better in a wired system.
But , most head units don't have the aux inputs so the LineX transmitter would be my choice in that situation and besides the setup is less than a minute.

Well it looks like a pretty good idea to me.. I may go for it when I get some money (I'm broke due to prom and graduation fees etc..

)

So what sort of problem do you think I could have running this? Since it's USB, does it still take all audio and send it through the air? Does it just sit in the background at all times and listen for audio? If it were plugged into the audio jack like the previous version, there would be question here. ?

This will take all the audio from the computer and outputs it to the selected channel. This would include windows media player, and windows mouse click sound effects, etc.. You would just setup the correct station and when you want to hear the audio, tune into that station. All audio that would normally come out of the speakers when using the computer would come out of your car speakers.

I not sure how long the promo will last probably for another 30-45 days.

Anyone ever had a problem with the linex wireless audio from a pc using XP and find they have a whistling noise on the audio when one tunes in to the Fm its a little annoying and I would appreciate any help on this one...otherwise an excellent machine
