WTB: 10.4" touch screen overlay & controller

I need a 10.4" touchscreen overlay and a controller for it to put over my disassembled Datalux LCD. I actually have an Elo overlay and Intellitouch controller for it, but the controller is busted I think. Does anybody have either a controller for the Elo Intellitouch overlays, or an overlay + controller you want to part? I'd appreciate any help!

Well when I got it, I had to make the cables and all for it. The Serial cable and the power cable. I'm almost positive that I made all of the cables correctly, according to the pinouts that I found. But when I hook it up, the controller doesn't show any sign of powering on. There is a LED that is supposed to light up and it doesn't when I hook it all up. I'll pull it all back out and mess with it some more tomarrow evening, but I think I did about everything I could back when I made the cables for it. So I was just gonna try to get another controller or overlay+controller. Maybe I should buy the cables kit from Elo for it. I think they sell the serial cable and power cables. I'll check into that...

But still... anybody got an extra controller?

Thanks

By reading your post I take it you gave up on it. Fair enough.

Sounds like your touch overlay is not recieving proper power.

Although the best way to fix it is to replace it.

lol Yeah that's what I was thinking.. I'll pull it out and try it one more time, but I'm still open for anybody selling the controller or overlay+controller.

thanks

What cables do you have for it? Is it USB or serial? Will I have to make any of the cables for it?

thanks man

The kit comes complete with everything you need, so you won't have to make any cables. Its a 9-pin serial controller. You can find the specs for the touchscreen at: http://www.magictouch.com/ktt104lam.html and info for the ProE controller is here:
http://www.magictouch.com/controllersguide.html

If you are still interested I'd be glad to post some pics.

could you post a pic of the overlay? I'm wondering how much space there is beyond the actual touch area?

yep I'm interested.. I don't know how much to offer... what do you think it's worth and are willing to give it to me for??

thanks man

Greetings,

The pics are at:

http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/commun...iew=thumbs&ck=

The pics show the touchscreen mounted on a 10.4" lcd. I would say that there is about approx .30" space beyond the touch area. As you'll see in the pics, it fits a 10.4" cd perfectly. The touchscreen is in mint condition with no scratches. It also has under 20hrs of use. You can see this touchscreen kit goes for about $150 new at:

http://www.touchwindow.com/miva/merc...gory_Code=OEML

Make me an offer taking the new price into consideration and I'm sure we can work something out.
