FS: 7" Lilliput Touchscreen VGA Monitor : Broken
I am selling this like-new lilliput as-is because i bought it from a jerk who said it was working. It's not.
I'm not a techie, so I can't fix this thing. It is in excellent cosmetic condition [which means it looks brand new]. When I got it last Thursday, I tried to power it on for testing. It would not come on. The power button got stuck when I pressed it, so that might have something to do with it. I'm not up for experienting with this thing, and the jerk won't refund my money...so i'm offering it for $250 shipped.
I will not open this thing, so you can have fun trying to fix it.
I will post pictures of the unit later on tonight, including the few minor cosmetic issues [a couple scratches on the power port].
What comes with the screen:
Everything. [Except the remote.]
Lilliput VGA Monitor
USB Touchscreen controller/Touchscreen
Power Cable
Lilliput Video/RCA cable
Lilliput egg thingie [the car adapter]
Lilliput monitor stand
and I wish you the best of luck.
ciao

Post some pics. We may be able to find out what's wrong with it. If you're sure you don't have warranty then open it up....and take some pics

That is a bad situation. But, 250.00 is pretty expensive for a non-working screen. You can get them brand new for that price minus shipping.

not to on your thread, but $250 isn't going to happen. If you don't have a warranty and the seller wont make it right, you might as well take a shot at fixing it.

If the power switch was stuck on, then the default behavior of the Lilliput is to turn on immediately when you apply power and lock out the use of the buttons in the front. Is that what's happening?

Two things I can think of :
1) The broken plastic in the power receptacle may be a reason for the power lead to not make full contact on the screen's board thus not providing power (yeah wild guess I know ). Have you tried to move it with your hand?
2) Can the other buttons be pressed or they're on-the-air ? Could be a problem with the button/ir sensor PCB got out of alignment causing a short circuit or something.
I believe you should open it up. No one will buy the screen without knowing what works and what doesn't. If the vga controller board is fried, $250 just for a (hypothetically) working touch controller are a lot of money don't you think?
See ya
