FS: VIA M9000 System $200 Shipped
This is a system I bought from someone here on the forum (I got screwed, what I got was definatley not what was advertised.). I paid $250 plus shipping. I'd like to get $200 shipped out of it. I will consider all reasonable offers. I'm selling it because to me it's just too slow for the application I'm writting.
The system is a VIA M9000 board with a C3 933Mhz processor. 256M RAM, 80 Gig 3.5" Hard drive. The case is a Molex 2677 case with the stock 60W power supply which runs from 12v power. Also included is the 12v wall power adapter to use this system in the house. I do not know if you can hook this power supply directly to a car's electrical system without a DC/DC Converter.
On the back of the system is 4 USB ports, 2 firewire ports (6 pin), Network, VGA, S-Video, Sound (Mic, Aux, Speaker), Parallel, Serial, Keyboard, Mouse and a RCA jack that can either give you COAX digital audio out or Composite Video out (a jumper on the board sets this.) Apparently the system can use the S-video/Composite out as a second monitor (two monitors show up in windows xp). I don't think the ram is low profile, however, you can put a laptop cdrom drive in this system with the ram that's in it.
There is NO COVER for the case.
I have loaded a fresh copy of windows xp on this system already. All windows updates and SP2 have been installed along with all the VIA drivers. The system is fully operational and is working like a champ.
Here are some pictures of the system as it sits currently on my bench:

I was told, the system was in a c137 case, not the one it's in. Since that case only holds a laptop hdd, I assumed, the 80g drive was a laptop drive. Also the power supply is not the PW70 as advertised. And there is no cover for the case it did come it. I also had some problems with the power supply, which turned out to be a bad solder job on the connector which I have fixed.

If you add up what is in it, you got a good deal, not a great deal, but I don't think you got ripped, he made a mistake on the case model...at least you got it! If you do not like it put a claim in through pay pal...

Paypal is useless in this case, the only time a claim is valid is if I never recieved anything, if its not as described, they won't do anything for you. As for the mistake, I can understand the case model being misquoted. Not having the cover for the case though in my book is where I got screwed.

I agree not true, Paypal will hold the funds until the claim is satisfied. More than likely he will owe you a partial refund or will have to refund you completely if you return it.
I also know this from experience. I sold a used computer to a guy one time on ebay and he complained when he got it, it was filthy and didn't work right away (id did not have an OS loaded), He put in his claim to paypal and they took all the payment from me and he got the computer to keep. He even stated in an email he didnt want to return it because he was satisfied with what he got. I forwarded that to paypal and he denies ever saying it (lesson learned) dont sell stuff on ebay. Still have a pending claim after 2 months. Paypal is quick to snap up the funds, so if you have a complaint it is worth submitting.

Dear Jeremy,
Thank you for contacting us about your Buyer Complaint for the transaction detailed below. As stated in our User Agreement, PayPal's Buyer Complaint Policy applies only to the shipment of goods. It does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a refund.
Um, I already tried the dispute process guys. Like I said, useless.

did you pay via credit card through pay pal? If you did, contact them, and have them do a reversal, or stop payment, That is what I did, and pay pal got there money back from the seller because of the problem
