FS (REDUCED PRICES): 20GB MP3 Player | Carputer (CarPC) | Laptop Memory

Carputer: PC-Chips M756LMRT & Intel Celeron 733MHz

Model Number: PCC-TYP01 (Personal Enumeration)
Price: $120.00 + Shipping

Everything you're getting in this carputer package:
  • PC Chips M756LMRT Motherboard. More info found here.
  • Intel Celeron 733MHz.
  • Custom built enclosure - Dimensions: 10¼ x 8½ x 3½ inch.
  • Two (2) 64MB SDRAM Chips.
  • IDE Cables - Your choice of brand new cable for a single drive or a used cable for two drives.
  • Hard Drive Holder/Case (Fits 2 3.5" Hard Disks).
  • Compaq PSU, Max power = 135W (Regular 115 or 230V input), extended ATX (20") & Power Cables (22").
  • Asante 10/100 NIC (Network Card). Brand new, never used. A freebie I throw in as a back up in case you'll have problems with the built-in NIC.
  • BIOS updated to the latest firmware available.
MOBOT Website claims that there are 6 audio channels. I've only been able to use 4 (2 front + 2 rear) which is plenty for a carputer setup in a built-in card. By the way, the original audio drivers come with Xear3D which enhances your 4.x surround experience.

All Available and built-in I/O ports:

PSU + HD Holder. Notice the long ATX & Power Cables:

This is an excellent carputer set-up for first time enthusiasts. It is easily upgradeable of course; at one point I was running 768MB of RAM which supported WiFi, iGuidance, Winamp, and Windows XP all at once.
You can do pretty much anything with it, and in order for it to play videos and movies all you have to do is add a PCI video card and have about 256MB.

I've been using this player for about 6 months before installing my first carputer in April '05. It was last tested by me over the past weekend (Aug. 12 thru Aug. 14). Everything still works great as it did when I first bought it. It is scratchless and in mint condition.

This Napster 20GB is just as good as an iPod 20, but don't forget that you could have it for a third of the price.

Almost forgot, two more things you'll get if you buy this:
  • I will add another CD which contains the latest version of Napster. Better software for uploading all kinds of MP3s to this player (w/o the restrictions of Napster). Tips on how to make your own playlists. Latest drivers and software from Samsung to better initialize and manipulate the file system on the device.
  • Up to 5 gigs of whatever music you want as long as I have it.

I actually came up with the 5% cash & pickup discount for people like you... Dude, it's just about a 1hr drive for that tempting CarPC you've always wanted.
If you're really interested and there's a Southern Cali meet coming up I could reserve some of the stuff for you. That could work only if you promise (deposit) to pay (or maybe trade) AND if there's a meet before the end of August somewhere not-too-far-away (because gas is getting really expensive).

What kind of power supply are you referring to?
If it's this kind (on the left) -->

then I have about 2 or 3 I wouldn't mind selling.

BTW, if you're interested I'm also offering this inverter for $25.
It had been working great with PCC-TYP01, and all you had to do was to turn the inverter on in order to get the Carputer to start up.
Let me know if you'd like to see more pics.

BTW, the 5% discount applies to any item sold in this thread.

Hey, I'm interested in that IBM drive.

I have some stuff that I'm selling/trading, you interested in anything? You can ask KF4ODQ and xdjxklusivex, I'm a pretty responsible guy when it comes to selling/trading.

The stuff I have is in the link in my sig. I actually need that drive for the IBM laptop that I'm selling.

Lemme know.

Peace,

Rafster
