FS/FT Sony Vaio Laptop
Sony Vaio PCG505TR Laptop, bought in 2000 for $1600, selling to finance my carputer project, will take $250 for it or open to trades, so far I have a case and am looking for a touchscreen, Opus 120W Power Supply, VIA MoBo, and a hard drive, preferrably laptop. It comes with two batteries (not sure about charging I leave it plugged in the wall most of the time, I know the original battery only powers it for an hour or two at most), external floppy drive, external CD-ROM, port replicator for docking, small USB mouse, and 802.11g wireless card. The only problem I know of is that 4 of the keyboard buttons are missing but I still manage to type on it, the left mouse button doesnt work so I use the USB mouse. It comes with XP Pro already loaded and all the original manuals and recovery disks for Win98. It is a 300 MHZ Pentium with a 10.4" screen in perfect condition. I'm sure I haven't answered all the questions but that's all I can think of right now, I'm gonna leave it here for until after Christmas or so then off to Ebay it goes. Will post some pics later.

Not to crap on your thread, but you might do better just putting this on Ebay.
Good luck selling it though.
Peace,
Rafster

Since I'm getting carputer stuff I thought I might get some intersting/needed trades here, but you're probably right.

Does it have a single or double height PCMCIA slot?
Is the screen XGA? - 1024 x 768 ?
Chris.

BoyNextDoor
The screen is a 10.4" with about 3/4" of case on either side of screen, total size including housing is 10 1/4" by 7 1/2", I wouldn't mind the PC, lots of parts I'm looking for and who doesn't need another full size case? Does it have any OS loaded? Let me know what you think would be fair, I don't mind shipping first since I'm the new guy here, my Ebay feedback is at http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...=rc51robw&iid=

The PMCIA slot is single height, the screen is 1024x768, and I'm not sure about XGA, will see if I can find the specs on it tonight. Nice car by the way.

You've got some nice stuff there, just not anything I'm looking for at the moment, may get back with you for some smaller parts when I get a little further along.

Thanks
I was thinking the same thing, would've like a newer S but working two jobs is enough, wasn't really looking to pick up a third.
