Viper 690xv Car Alarm $120 shipped

This alarm is identical to the one I have installed, and I love it. The range is great.

This does not include remote start (i didnt wan to risk the posibility of starting my car by accident, and opening the opportunity for a theif to get at it.

When I bought mine, I found a second one and snagged it. I was gonna hold onto it until I got a second car, and install it on there, but its xmas time and I'm poor, so I offer you guys this.

For now I only have an older style remote that I will include with it, but it will work with any of the DEI 479 remotes. I have mine working with a 479P (python) and 479V (Viper)

if anyone wants the 690xv, i can let my second one go for $120 shipped....best I can do. It's never been used or installed.
the remote on this one was in a factory display case.

these are remotes (not included) that I have running on an identical system. Its just the newer style.

Can a remote start be added to this alarm?
If so, what's the model number I need to get (and if you know, how much do they cost)?

get a viper 791 instead. That way you can use the blue 2-way remote above, plus the 2-way LED remote, or the 1-way viper remote. This style alarm is the older generation, and will be harder to get a remote starter module for. plus you can get an entire package with remote for like $150 more on eBay as I've seen in the last few months. Thats the way I'd go if i was looking for alarm/remote.

Yes, you can add up to 4 remotes. The 2 way compatible is the 479(v)(p). The 1 way remote model that is compatible is the 429(V)(P)

I believe you've my friend, this is not the older generation, this generation is the same generation at the 791. This uses the same remotes. The difference between this and the 791 is a few modules (the satalite tracking module, which requires service, and can be purchased seperatly) and the remote start.

the box was made in 2003, with a picture of that remote on it now. The newer remotes came out in 2004

I'm really no too familiar with alarms so I have a question:

Does this alarm has the hability to lock/unlock door? cus I'm in need of two new keyless entry remotes so if I can buy this instead of the remotes, it will be better. (I see this little luck icons on the buttons but dunno if is only to arm the alarm or also to lock doors)

Thanatos.

yeah this when it arms it locks the door, and disarm unlocks the door. You can setup more options like trunk pop or whatever if you need it.

If you install it yourself you can find some wiring diagrams on bullguard and the12volt. It took me an entire day to do it.....but i took apart my entire dash and ****. Remember though thanatos, I'm only including the 1 older style remote.....and new 2 way remotes for this are like $70 on ebay + shipping. Just a heads up.
