CS-Mount screws right in to the camera. C-Mount, if you find one, needs an adapter.

Which 2.5mm lens are you considering?

How sure are you that 2.5mm is what you need? (2.5mm will be a wider angle lens.) The first auction doesn't mention f-number, based on the price it is probably pretty bad. The second one is f/2.0 which is not as sensative at night. There's a 4mm f/1.6 that'll do better at night if you're willing to spend a couple of bucks more. The seller "johnjqx" accepts offers, maybe you can make the price a little better on one of the f/1.6 lenses.

There's at least eight requests for the remaining five cameras! Before I deal with any of those, I better take care of the first twenty.

I'm thinking that I might need to use an eBay auction to let the interested parties sort out the winners from the losers. I did keep a list of requests in the order they were received. A couple occurred before the announcement of the five extras in the form of "If you ever get more..."

The f-number isn't the one that tells you how much the lens will see. This number is more like the quality of the lens -- its light gathering capability.

If you paid for f/1.2 and you got f/1.4, you got a lens of lower capability than advertised.

The focal length is in "mm" -- I think you said it was 2.5mm. This will tell you how much area it can see. 2.5mm would make it more like a "fish eye" lens. 8mm is the one that is neither zoom or fish-eye. 12mm is 1.5x magnification and 16mm is 2x magnification.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I did inform the guy that he shipped out the wrong one.

Hey Mark I think you should go by the first to request list you have. I know I must be 1 of the first people (p6-7)

just got my camera.....and all i can say is WOW!.....this thing is hot. I was expecting something i'd had to tinker with forever to get to work right......nope.....plugged it in.....beatiful color image. Works great in daylight.......and awesome in the dark. Can't wait til it gets darker here.

edit: the box was so light......i was expecting it just to have the lens in it
