FS: Car2PC adapter (old design) - $48 shipped
Guys,
The new Car2PC design is around the corner, so I need to get rid of my old design adapters. The following car makes available:
- VW/AUDI 98+
- Honda 92-03
- Chrysler 95-00
- MB 95-98
- Volvo 94-00 (SC-xxx models)
- BMW/Mini/Rover 97-05
With Car2PC adapter you'll get:
1. AUX input with audio level matching
2. PC control from car stereo via buttons
3. Information update from PC->car stereo
See this page for more information:
http://indashpc.org/new/adapters/usbhon.html
I want $48 shipped to USA-48. Be sure it is below the price I paid for them, but just cannot have them in stock anymore
Use this page: http://indashpc.org/new/adapters/index.html and choose the adapter you need. Proceed until checkout and enter mp3car into payment notes so you can get a discount. Good luck !

Is it the same as Alpine MBUS (Car2PC-MBUS) adapter?
For all cars listed above, does this adapter still need a CAR-TO-MBUS (like Hon-MBUS) adapter?
Basically I want to know. If I buy this adapter, what else do I have to buy to have it work with Alpine Mbus unit, and a 2000 Accord HU?
Of course, I know I need a carPC.
Does the driver compartible with other Front End (Road Runner for example)?

Adapter is fully compatible with all car makes listed above. You don't need another adapter. You might need car specific harness like in case with Volvo SCxxx though...
Adapter is compatible with the Winamp and WMP. I do not have any specific frontend support at the moment

The discount is still available. Just do the checkout and then get a refund.
Do not forget to mention about mp3car in the notes section. I have few MBus left still
MBus will fit almost all Hondas ( 1992-2004 ), Volvos, old MBs and Chryslers.

There are differences in design and the way adapter structured.
How cables are built and ability to use add-on modules ( BT, mass storage etc )...

sorry i'm confused. this allows for aux input to stock stereo and pc control via stereo buttons. The only addons i know of are for winamp and wmp, which make sense...what do any of this have to do with mass storage or BT ?

Don't worry about that for now
The functionality of the old and new one is the same. Both of them supported by WMP, WinAmp, RR and other apps.

I get refund for the different. Cool
The adapter havn't get to my door yet. No I am not complaining about when it arriving (probably today). It doesn't matter cuz I don't have time to put it in until this weekend or next wk.
Now I am looking forward the Car2PC - Ai-Net version for my Matrix installed.

Got the adapter yesterday ... cool, nice little "black box"
Anyway, I do I connect that 3.5mm stereo plug/jack to the sound card right? Before I screw it up, I better ask
