Question tank circuit?

I am using a Sproggy 2.6 PSU for the carputer I am assembling. I'm a programmer and not near as knowledgable as Jeff or Mastero with the hardware/PSU of things. Is a tank circuit needed with this PSU? If one is, I will need to purchase it (that is why I am posting to this section instead of the power supply section).

Comment away!
James

You only need a tank circuit to keep the sproggy powered if your car's voltage drops below 8v during engine crank.

Thanks for the info! Now I don't have to figure out how to cram a tank circuit in the case as well
