I came across
these units . These are small PCs pre-configured as internet server appliances, but they're really just a Cel500 with 32MB RAM and a 10GB hard drive. They have 2 PCI slots and an ISA slot, and the small size looks like it would make a good carputer. It looks in the picture like a microATX power supply, so power could be handled with a Keypower/Sproggy/Zootjeff supply. $200 seems pretty good for what you get (small case, CPU, RAM, hard drive). It looks like they do not come with onboard video (or a video card for that matter) as they are intented to be run headless, but a PCI video card with TV out would do the job nicely. It also looks like they do not have PS/2 ports, but there are 2 USB connectors and 2 serial ports, so control would not be an issue. They also have a parallel port, which is helpfull for char. LCDs. The dimensions are 3.6" X 12.4" X 12.4" (H X W X D), so it would fit nicely under a seat or tucked away in the trunk.
