Cool Custom Mustang Control Panels and Inserts

Here are a few of the control panels I have made for the 94-97 Mustangs. These panels are laser cut to fit into the ash tray compartment, the ash try must be removed. The coin holder USB hub will also fit in the 98-04 mustangs, given the space is not occupied by the OEM fog light or conv. switch.

Here are 3 layouts to choose from, or if you would like a modified layout PM me. The words can be changed to your needs and the buttons can be momentary (push-on/release-off) or push-on/push-off style. The black buttons are only momentary type. LED colors are: Power-green, HDD-red/or yellow. Mustang/Cobra logos are interchangeable. A completed PCB board underneith can be mounted and soldered for an additional fee. Shipping additional.

Layout 1 - Logo, 1x rocker switch, 2x momentary buttons, 2x LED
$40

-------------------------

Layout 2 - Logo, 3x momentary, 3x Pn/Pf, 2x LED
$50

-------------------------

Layout 3 - Logo, 2x Pn/Pf, 2x momentary, 2x LED, RCA L/R inputs
$55

-------------------------

This is how the control panel looks installed. Yes the door closes without a problem.

-------------------------

Coin Holder - 2x USB plugs w/6ft cables (you provide the holder)
$30

-------------------------

Very nice. I'm really impressed. You mention PCB below... can you take any pictures?

As for the buttons and so forth, I really havn't made up my mind WHAT I want to put, but I will hit you up when the time comes! At the moment, I am wanting my Amplifier, and any other normal switch to be controled by a Basic Stamp, and so I won't need to do any switches, but your solution looks soo damned good, I might go with that for the amp. I really like it.

I am interested in the USB coin holder unit... can you take pictures from below?

Dude, make me a coin holder USB port!!!! My dirty coin holder is driving me crazy and I wanted to replace it with a switch of some type, but the USB will be much sweeter. I do have a convertible switch in the same spot you have your USB now. Will your USB port fit in the other coin holder too?

BTW your install is sweet. You’re only the second person I know who has successfully relocated the AC controls.

Thanks! Whenever you're ready, I can do it.

I can, but you would have to give me an exact layout and shape of the panel you need. I can't guarantee it'll fit thou; I dont have your kind of car to measure it myself.

I can do one. I would need you to send me yours; I dont have any spares.

Yes both holders are identical. The one found in the 01's is also identical in size.

Thanks, I almost quit the project because of it.

Cool New product!

Hot off the press! well not literally. An AV input panel for the coin holder. Since some Xenarc screens have 2 aux video inputs, I decided to make one of them readily accessable for my iRiver PMP-140. The audio jack connects to the line-in on the computer, or you can plug it in how you see fit.

Video: 1x RCA jack w/ 6ft cable and male jack on other end.
Audio: 1x stereo 1/8" plug w/ 6ft cable and male stereo jack on other end.
$35

Installed:

Note to knight: here is a back shot of this one. I used the same technique on this as I did on the USB one. I used both epoxy to hold in place and bondo for reinforcement; dont want them sinking in when you plug something in.

You bastard....

Here is the ONLY case in which I wish I didn't have a convertable.... Now I want both the USB and the Aux input!

I've always wanted to remvove the convertable switch and put it somewhere else, and make it more.... kosher. You have to have the parking brake engaged to use the top, and I wanted to disable that. Maybe this is my excuse to do that?

I have some extra coin holders I could hook you up with.

I'm likly to get the USB and aux in really soon... as for the other part, when I bought my 'stang it's ashtray was damaged, and the dealer "fixed" it by screwing it on with cheap black screws... looks really ****ty. I'll have to replace the entire console, and I live in a small city, there are no junkyards around with any year or style 'stangs in them. eBay hasn't been much success either. I bought one off eBay and it didn't include the cover....

Ah man, now I don't know what to do. I want both!!! Stupid convertible. Since I already have Firewire and USB installed near the cig lighter, maybe I'll change it up and put something else there. I'll keep you posted on what I want when I decided what it is I want. Keep up the good work.

No prob. I'd fancy, but I dont have a 300zx avail. So, I would need you to take very precise measurements and make a cutout, if wierd shape, that would fit your area in need. After viewing your desired layout I could give you an exact price. PM me your info.
