1:1 Hirose Cable Group Buy!

Please read ALL of this...

I recently posted some concerns for the difficulty of getting ahold of the 1:1 31 pin hirose cables. My responses may have spawned a 31 pin hirose cable group buy. Pigseye and I would like to get at least 10 people in on this order. Prices and specs below.

Specs:

This group buy is for only two types of cable. The discrete 1 to 1 wiring of 31 pin hirose connectors in 12" and 18" lengths. The cable is 1:1, or pin one on the first connection corresponds to pin 1 on the second. If you have an LCD and a controller, or plan on running a TFT setup, you will more than likely NEED one of these wires. I might be able to provide SOME info on which LCDs work with which cables and controllers, but for the most part you will have to find that info on your own.

Because of the complexity of getting anything other than the 1:1 wiring, we cannot supply them in this buy.

12" 1:1 wired 31pin hirose cable
or
18" 1:1 wired 31pin hirose cable

Prices

The prices are quite acceptable. I have a sharp LCD that i purchased in feb of this year, and still cannot hook it up. I blame that on my passing up a $27 cable. I thought that was too expensive. Then, i could not get ANY, for any price. This is a great deal, and if you are worried about the price, please take it from me... Do not worry about this price! It's worth it. What good is a $100 LCD, w/o a way to connect it.

These prices are good if we can get at least 10 cables. All USD.

12" cable - $24.00
18" cable - $25.00

Shipping charges are $4 to anywhere in the lower 48. Higher charges apply to Canada and Australia.

Pigseye is helping with the actual buy. He will front the money, package, and ship all the orders. We have not determined exactly how payment can be made, but that is not the first step anyway.

What to do:

If you are interested in one or more of these cables, please do ALL of the following.

Email me with your name, and what you want. Please DO NOT just post here with your interest. I do not have time to chase you. Email me through the 'profile' button at the bottom of this message, or send it directly to <email deleted> . I will get everything organized and keep everyone updated.

Thanks, everyone!

Someone asked about the LQ..161 screens, and no, we cannot get those... I looked around at an old post and found that the 161's need another type of cable. We cannot get the custom made cables just yet.

We only need 2-3 more cables orders.... yay

Is there a cable that goes from the 31-pin to a 50-pin LCD Connector? I've got two TFTs right now that have that 50-pin connector on the back of them. Any help?

I don't know what the 50 pin connector is. It might just be a 50 pin version of the 31 pins, although it might be a different signal all together.

I would suggest you find the pinout for the 50 pins on the lcd, and then start a new post in the LCD section of this board.

Good Luck.
