It doesn't need to have a housing, all i need is the monitor itself. My glass is cracked I was trying to clean it while it was apart and the glass cracked on me

Has to be the 7" 629, because I just spent so much time fiberglassing the bezel into my dash, and I want it to fit, don't want to have to redo it. If anybody knows where I can order the 629 specifically, please let me know.

I need the glass part, I think that's just the touchscreen overlay that goes on top of the glass. So I think I need a whole new monitor.

is the touchscreen adhered to the glass piece? It seems like it would have to be so that its transparent, otherwise it might bubble up. Does that mean that the touchscreen replacement includes the glass? And does it require soldering or anything to replace it? Or is it just more ribbon cable that I have to swap out like the buttons at the bottom of the monitor?

well it doesn't really come more apart than it was, but i didn't check to see if the touchscreen overlay actually seperated from the glass. I mean a normal LCD screen doesn't have glass covering it, so it would make sense that the glass is part of the touchscreen. But I'm probably wrong, and LCD monitors might have glass over them.

Anyway, my only question now is, does the touchscreen replacement include the glass pane?

emailed store@mp3car.com, still no reply. Does anyone have any idea what all is part of the 'touchscreen.' Just the overlay, or the glass too?
