Is there really a difference between audio and video RCA cables? They seem to work fine whichever you use.

How about this http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...ormat=2&style=

Chris.

If you follow that link and scroll down it says:

This CABLE for:
DVD Player
DVD Audio Player
SA-CD Player
CD Player
D-VHS Player
Game Console
A/V Receiver
Digital Video Recorder
Satellite Receiver
Digital Cable Box
Computer sound card
Home Theater Personal Computer

I understand your concerns though, might be best to be certain but I've swapped these cables around and never had an issue.

The difference between the audio and video RCA cables is the color of the end. Video has yellow, and audio has red or white.

That's about it. (Unless you are into high end stuff, but I assume not). That cable will work

size can be emphasized in the video cables. Often the video quality is more important than the sound so they have the thickness of the cable more than a standard audio rca cable. really depends on what you are looking to use the cable for.

hers an option though go to radio shack by 2 rca ends and a spool of cable and make your own.
