M1 ATX - fried good for parts or fix

Somehow I just fried my M1 ATX ? A switching transitor fried on it as I was bench testing my system. It no longer works

20 $ + shipping

I pulled the RAM all the way out and still the long tones. I will find another stick and try it. Thanks for the info.

Gonna have to check to see if its really bad or not. You got me thinkin about the RAM now. Will let you know after I get another stick of DDR

Glad to help. Hope it works out for you. I found through research that Kingston RAM seems to have the best results. (Even Kingston value RAM, just the brand kingston for some reason). Also to search for more of these beep codes, search google for "award bios beep codes" and it will tell you.

Continuous long beeps is a RAM error. Either incompatable, misseated, misfunctioning, overheated or otherwise. Just not working. SOmetimes, when it is doing the beep thing, if you press the reset button, it will try again, and sometimes boot up fine. I had this with my M10k too for a bit. It fixed itself though.
