I'm sorry for the confusion and for the delay.
Due to the response to the past version of the classified system, we have upgraded to a much better system.
This new system will take care of the following issues that users were reporting:
- There is now an option to list your item "For Trade" or "For Auction" as well as "For Sale" or "Want to Buy"
- Feedback is tied to those involved in the transactions. You cannot randomly leave feedback for users that you have not done business with.
- Descriptions retain formatting. No HTML code needed to format your ad.
- You can upload more than one image per ad now. The initial page where you are listing your item will only take one image. Once you move to the next page, you can select more images to upload.
As was the case previously, the classified forum as we know it from the past is still closed. All new threads are being moderated. If you post a new thread in the classified forum, it will not show up. You can expect a PM soon thereafter with a link to this post.
Sales that were going on before this process started will be allowed to be completed. However, I would encourage you to move the ad over to the new system so that you can get credit for the transactions.
After a week or so, I will be removing the vBClassifieds link from the navbar and pointing the link to the classified forum to this new system. Once this has happened, the transition to the new system will be complete.
If you run into any issues, please send me a PM or post it here in this thread.
Also, please note that I can't make custom modifications to this code to meet the wants of every user on this forum. This is a modification that we have paid for, not a modification that I have coded from scratch. I do not have the time to make a ton of custom modifications to code that I not only didn't write, but that I don't know.
