Java Coders - Looking for Advice with GPS and Phone Control
Hi guys, this is my first post on mp3car! I have done a semester of java programming and absolutely love the language. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about a complete solution (no background applications, or very few) that would be able to run on any OS - Java!

Well, I am starting a project and would like advice in terms of GPS and Phone Control. I don't know if anyone has any experience with this type of thing. I was thinking of using Franson GPSGate and the Java comm for raw GPS data, but writing an application for GPS might be difficult - maybe a robot?

At the moment I am quite sure that I can manage the multimedia side. I have been testing out a few libraries and have found some very promising ones.
