i like RR and i use it at the moment but i have to play alot of my programs out of the windows etc etc as they havent been embeded in it but looking around at the RR post section it dosnt look like it would be a straght forword job to do it, this is why i am making my own but when i was done i was going to get it so that lots off addons works so that everyone can use it for there programs as well

first of all how much development (not just programming) experience do you have? just because you're using VB.NET doesn't mean it'll be easy. i see a lot of people making the mistake of thinking that VB makes things "easy". if you don't have much development experience a frontend is not the thing to start on.

if you want to learn then get some books on software development in general and then just spend all your free time on MSDN reading everything that's on there.

Thank you mate, I do have books etc etc and have been looking around in my free time at lots of stuff but with there being lots of other programing codes out there lol wasnt always sure i was looking at the right things and thats why i asked them questions, the more of the resone i want to start making my own Front End software is cos there are alot out there that dont really give a wide range on what other software work with them

ie. i use Navigator for my GPS program with there maps but all the front end programs i have seen use stuff like Map Monkey.

I want to make it so the front end has a little like a plug in were people download different things for there serton apps this way it save people haveing to try and code or go out and buy different software to make ther front end program work and look better
