Voice recognition

ok, this isn't realy for a carPC, but as soon as I heard it, I thought you guys would know something.

In one of my computer science classes, User Interface, we are going to have to write some code (doesn't realy matter what), but it has to be controlled by voice. We, as a class are trying to find a decent voice recognition package to use. the onlyones that we know of are eigther for .net (we are all c++/Java people) or linux only packages (which is ok for some people, but not a lot).

So does anyone know of any voice recognition packages that we could use with C++/Java? Perferably free, but the professor said that if we find a decent one he will get the department to pay for it. I guess this is the first time this course is being offered and he'll probably want the package to use for the next time he has the class.

Thanks a lot!!
