That could be helpful in the future! For now I've found some manuals from other programs which are able to log the comunication, and I seem to have figured out how it works so far! The ELM327QS datasheet helped me even more! Everything there is to know is there! Can't wait to get my ELM327 to test the program

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I do not see the logic of drawing a dash, which comprises of instruments and gauges which already exist in the average car.
I believe it would be better to draw a dashboard with those instruments NOT already included in many cars.
For Example, Water Temp (The actual temp rather than a C-N-H)
A Engine oil temp
Gearbox Temp
Air/Fuel Ratio
Boost.
etc.

The logic is simple If you want that kind of data, you press the ECU button

Anybody have a copy of that skyline.dxl that works? I'm unable to load it in DashXL via either DashCommand or PCMScan.

Are you talking about the file I posted on the second page of this thread? If so, I just checked it and it seems to work fine. Did you extract the zip file first?

Glad to see a program like this PPE, and most especially you offering support for it.
I'll most likely be ordering DashCommand soon. Just need to save up for the Vag-Com communicator for my GTI first. Thing is expensive, so hopefully I can find a way to cough up some dough.

I'm still waiting for someone to replace the dash gauge cluster with a transflective LCD. There was a german forums i saw a few years ago (that i can no longer locate) that the guy had done a full revamp. Replaced his guage cluster with an LCD and designed his own gauges that even had different displays depending on your driving mode(highway, track, ect). He had indicators for different sensors that a normal guage cluster didnt have. He had a second screen where his A/C, radio used to be that had multiple tabs. DVD, MP3, Diagnostics, Climate Control.
It was the best computer integration in a car that i had ever seen. This is the only way i would see having LCD guage cluster being beneficial. For external guages, i'll stick with the DEFI guages w/playback.
EDIT: It wasnt an rx7, it was an MR2, this is the link. I think you'll all be very impressed. http://www.mr2forum.de/thread.php?th...tuser=0&page=1

Wow that's amazing. I love the fonts and the arrangement of information for the centre cluster.

Did a skyline dash display ever get finished? I've always wanted the dash out of a proper skyline...and R34!

that video shows the dash in action. at 1:18 is the gauge display and at 1:25 is the ideal G-meter. To change between there is an external button but it could be a touch button on the screen at the bottom. If someone could look into this also that would be great. I've been searching and just coming up empty
An R35 dash wouldn't be the end of the world but R34 would be 1000X better
Just noticed when posting, it shows the video at the point I'm at which is 1:18 which shows the gauge display!
