I'd like a module like this to derive the weather from the titles on the XM weather channels. Does the XM receiver even get polled if you're not currently using XM?
Until it's almost free, i will not have full time net access in the car.

The weather digital mod would have to be modified to look for the weather info based on your "canadian" location

the current one uses your zip code to get the info from yahoo weather.. so it would have to be modified

can you record a new GPS file for me while driving around in canada? that way I have some test data to play with to change the weather digitalmod to get weather updates for canada
I think I found a way to get around requiring the zipcode...

yahoo allows you to see weather not only by ZIP but by Postal code as well. Can some one add this option to digital mode ? Otherwise it looks some kind not fair

Real quick, I understand that for this and other mods to work they need an active internet connection to access the web. My question is do you need to have the navigation portion of streetdeck installed or do you just have to have a usb gps antennae installed for the mod to grab coordinates. I ask this because i have Iguidance that I use for Nav and I didnt know whether or not these mods requiring position data could just draw from an antennae.

this digitalmod gets the zipcode from the navigation module itself.. so if you dont use the standard navigation.. then it wont work.. sorry
you could always change the code to pull the zipcode yourself though

i just started using streetdeck (1.1.1.0) and i'm trying to get the weather plugin to work. right now, it's telling me that it's unable to determine a zip code and to check the GPS signal. the signal is fine, as navigation works. i have a microsoft gps receiver that came with S&T 2006. i don't believe it's a sirf III receiver. is that the problem?
