OBD II from Walmart...USB works?

hey there.. i have gift card lying around and found that walmart has OBD II reader with a usb output for about 100 dollars...its not plain usb like many other but rather has a little screen where you can read out data + a usb connection....

does anyone have experience with that reader...and does the USB deliver standard OBDII computer readable output or some gibberish intended for custom software...?

thx for any help..

phil

Is it this one?

Equus 3100?

If so, got good reviews on amazon, though as far as using it with any 3rd part software, who knows. Probably have some look googling on the part number and "logging software" or similar.

If it's the one shotgunefx posted, it can't output realtime data to USB.

The one at Walmart is Innova Equus 3100A. It support all protocol, including CAN. A friend of my purchased one 4 weeks ago. I did have a chance to test it out a little bit. If you want read and reset code, it should be fine.
