Rover 200 obd question

Hi,

I'm newbie here and I don't know if this topic was already on this forum, but
I've got question about Rover 200 '97 16v. Can anybody tell me which OBD/OBD2 /other diagnostic interface does this car have? Which protocol does it use CAN/ISO etc?

Thanks,
Grzela

It will be the Rover MEMS system. It is certainly pre-OBD-II.

Thanks,

Not the spec, but some information:
http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/barnes...14CUX-MEMs.htm

It seems that the MEMS uses ISO 9141 (not ISO 9141-2) protocol but the electrical interface is the same as ISO 9141-2 / KWP2000.

Thx for info. Maybe you know how to get ISO-9141 spec (excluding www.iso.org )
I know I can get Freediag source code, but I would like to write it on my own.

Thanks for help.

Regards,
Grzela
