Need advice for 2006 Civic Si(CAN)

Can anyone give me some advice on a reader that has been verifyed working on a newer Honda(<06)? I hate to ask such a broad question as this but Im kinda out of my range here, but would really like to read the car's stats in real-time. Also I am working on a front-end so I would it would be better if the device had some code samples avaliable. (VB/.net C++ all OK)

I have a ScanGaugeII in my 07 Fit... I dunno if that helps...
