Thumbs down Citroen C5 2.0 HPI (2001) no voltage on pin 16

Hello

I just brought the ELMSCAN 5.
I own a Citroen C5 2.0 HPI from 2001.
In the OBD-2 specs it states that: pin 16 has 12V but no voltage there at all!
On “service.citroen.com” it’s stated that 12V is on pin 1 (when the ignition key is turn on)
I found this to be true and thinks I need to make a new cable for the ELMSCAN 5 in order to get it to work.
Does anyone have any experience with the C5 and OBD-2?

Best regards

Carsten

Smile Take 12V from cigar lighter plug

Hello

I made a adaptor to put between the ELMSCAN5 and the OBD-cable.
Gnd, signal-gnd, K-line is passed on but pin 9 (12v) is taken from cigar lighter plug.
Now the interface powers up and I can "talk" to the car.

Yhaa!
