Arrow OBD and Citroen from 2003 (Diesel)

Hi guys,

I have a couple of issues reading OBD data from my car,
and, well, to start at some point, my car is a;
Citroen C3 1,4HDi (diesel)
Year/Month 2003/07

it does have an OBD plug, and the following pins is populated.
Pin - 1,2,4,5,7,11,12,16

so far, it sounds like it is comfortable,
but....

I have tried to use both a Mongoose, and the Elmscan 5 (both USB versions)
software: Scantool, PCMscan and some other.
Neither of the things I have tried seems to be working.
it won't connect at all.

I know that the EOBD is not a requirement before 2004/01,
so the possibility that my car does not have OBD exists.

but, I have had my car at my authorized Citroen Workshop,
and they can connect there equipment to my car,
so some sort of diagnostics is available.

could it be that they pins in the OBD plug is just placed in a NON-OBD std,
and if it is, would it be possible to measure what pins to use..?

or do anyone have any other clues..?
other Citroen owners maybe, who've had the same problems, but found a solution

thanks for all you help

Best Regards
Sean

Thanks for your reply..

Well, I have seen other Citroen C3's from same year (and also Diesel)
being compliant,
so it just sounds weird...

is it possible to get Citroen Specific Diagnostic tools..?

thanks

Did you try?

Hello

Did any of the lights on your ELM light up when you connected?

Look at my post from :08-19-2007, 11:45 PM'

It might be that there is no 12V on pin 16.

Regards!
