looks pretty cool but im sure not gonna be cheap at all they've what we should have long ago. ive been waiting for a feasable display but these seem too nice. i was hoping for a boring gauge set with an sdk that we could make work. this is very cool for all in one accuracy and speed tho very nice find

That's the thing though. No one is going to see a demand for products like that until the community creates that demand. Just wishing for it on the forums doesn't help create demand.

Someone should be able to hack these for the computer.

If we could prove that this was desired then we'd have a solution.

Unfortunately, MANY manufacturers out there still view CarPCs as a toy. A fad that will soon fade. I spoke with many companies this weekend that reacted in that manner. CarPCs just aren't in enough demand.

From their perspecive, they aren't...because we have a bunch of people here on the forums that don't let them know otherwise.

If you're not heavily involved in this stuff, it seems like it's not very popular...

from the outside looking in however...

I saw those at SEMA also, really cool they were saying the OBD II gauges would be around $ 350.00 that's sort of pricey, but certainly cool.

They are like the ones on the new Lambo.... except on a smaller scale.

And try placing an order for this vaporware. I thought things in the SEMA New Products showcase needed to be shipping currently or within 30 days. Their forum claims it'll be Jan-Feb 2008: http://www.forum.plxdevices.com/viewtopic.php?t=1458

It's a cute prototype but there was a lot better (actually shipping) stuff at the show.

um, excuse me? arent you being a little hypocritical here?

didnt your DashDAQ product win an international new product award at the sema show *LAST* year?????? and when did you start shipping the product again? wasnt it just last week????

it seems like you should give others the same courtesy you guys enjoyed before calling things vaporware
