I imagine it should be easy enough to get a PIC to read CAN code.

Hi,
thanks for posting.
Thats interesting. What protocol (ISO, VPW, CAN..?) is it connecting ?
If you try a software that allows you to set the timeout (I use wOBD) then I bet you will get better speed than that.
