Doesa anyone know if this would work and if i could build this into a front end for the obd2 interface? Thanks im very new to all of this.

I have yet to get first hand experience with the banks PDA systems, but that seems like it would be a viable way to get it to work. Of course this all depends on how proprietary and finiky their software is and if you can get it off the PDA and onto the onboard computer. Sure would be pretty sweet to have it all hooked up in one single system though.

How does the PDA connect to the rest of the PCM or the banks equipment, does it have a standard USB connector or something?

The pda connect to the rest of the banks system via a 4pin terminal( like a phone cord plug). Are you thinking i might be able to interupt the signals here to display and control via the pc? That would be cool too. oh and by the way ... Thanks for actually replying I know most dont like dumb questions from newbies!!!

No prob, one program I have been turned onto lately that would work good, but its pretty expensive is AutoEnginuity. I guess a lot of the PSD tuners use it, and a lot of the racers use it for data logging and such. I'm not exactly sure on a price but I heard its around $300 or so. I would love to have it but will be pretty far down the list of things to get due to that price.

I don't know too much of the computer engineering or whatever it might take to get the cable to connect to your truckPC or for transferring the software though, wonder if maybe you could somehow dock the PDA to the computer somehow if you can't find a more hardwired solution.

Have you tried to contact Banks directly? They are open to suggestions. They may have a solution for you.

Also, I use Autoenginuity and it is a great product. It is expensive, but over the last 3 years I have used it (PDA and laptop versions) it has paid for itself.
