anyone have experience with pcmscan?
just bought pcmscan, seems to be a really nice program (still working on the carpc, hasn't actually been installed in the car yet). and this is the only software that i want the car to run. so basically i want to push a button, the pc turns on, pcmscan starts, goes automatically to the "dash xl" tab, and does it in full screen. i know how to make pcmscan start with windows, but it always starts in the wrong tab and not in full screen. anyone know how to do this?

PCMSCAN should start back up in full screen if was left in full screen when you closed it. So if you load the software up and go full screen and then use Alt+F4 to close it, it should come back up in full screen next time you launch it.
Unfortunately, you will still have the problem of switching to the DashXL tab. Currently there is no functionality there to automatically switch to a certain tab when the software starts.

is there a way to make dash xl the only tab? btw whats the shortcut for switching tabs?--even if it's not exactly something that you're supposed to be able to do.

Currently there is no keyboard shortcut for switching tabs - you just click the tab you want with the mouse. But this is a good idea, I'll make sure it gets added to the software.

You could always make a autoit script to click on certain screen coordinates.

FYI - in the next release of PCMSCAN we will be adding a tab switcher hotkey (Ctrl+Tab) to cycle between the tabs.

Run("c:\Program Files\PCMSCAN\pcmscan.exe")
WinWaitActive("PCMSCAN")
Sleep (3000) time to wait for it to load
MouseClick("left", 131, 101, 2) coordiantes to click
remove the comments, I dont have a copy, but based on the trial it may work.
it also will have to monitor, maybe click fullscreen too.
