New to the car pc concept. I've thought about it quite a bit. Even have a couple old laptops I've thought of cannibalizing.
My car already has a trip computer and fuel economy, volts..etc gauges. I even added a couple VDOs. I already have an ELM327. I already have a PocketPC which doesn't do much while I'm driving. I put the open source program OBDGauge on the PPC and it is good a viewing basic sensors. I'm looking for something that would work more like a ScanGauge.
The features I really like about the Scan Gague that my current trip computer does not have is Max Coolant Temp, Max RPM, Driving Time, Driving Distance, Fuel Used, Time/Gallons to empty, Cost per Mile/Trip and of course easy access to the OBD2 gauges.
Anything out there? Worst case senerio, I buy a ScanGague and play then leave it in my garage most of the time
