freediag with KWP (ISO 14230-4)
I'm trying to get freediag to work with my '04 Chevy Aveo sedan. I've gotten it to work in Scantool.net's program, but I'd really like something that I can put into a frontend. My car uses KWP, and freediag is supposed to support that, but I can't get it to work.
I had the problem where it wouldn't find anything, but I realized it was searching on /dev/ttyS0 instead of ttyUSB0. I've symlinked it, and now whenever it tries a protocol, I can see the scantool blink, and it hesitates on both ISO 14230 slow and fast, but it still says "Failed!". Maybe I'm just not doing it right?
Has anyone else gotten it to work with KWP/ISO 14230-4?
By the way, I'm using one of those cheap ebay ELM327 clones. (I didn't know it wasn't the real thing at the time of buying it, but it seems to work in Scantool.net's program, so I doubt it's the interface.)
